The Florentine Opera continues its 2016-2017 season with a concert revue of opera's most passionate songs from Spain, Latin America and the rich music inspired by those cultures - sung in various popular opera dialects (English, Spanish, German and French): Selections from Man of La Mancha, Carmen and more will be performed on the stage of the Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall by the Florentine Opera Studio Artists, with accompaniment by a full string quartet, and hosted by FO General Director William Florescu. Filled with romance and a touch of tragedy, the songs of Romance Español will ignite passion and warm the hearts of Milwaukee audiences.
