The Boulevard Ensemble Studio Theatre, located at 2252 South Kinnickinnic, celebrates 25 years of staging dynamic, eclectic theatre when its 2010-2011 season opens on July 28th with FOURPLAY: 4 Comedies Of Seduction. Tickets are $20 and all performances will be at the Boulevard's charming studio space. Call the 24-hour ticket line at (414) 744- 5757. Please visit the website at www.boulevardtheatre.com for additional information.

FOURPLAY's program of plays includes two scripts which have been produced previously in Milwaukee and which have proven themselves Milwaukee audience favorites: David Ives' frenetic frolic of public "pick-up" SURE THING and Harold Pinter's deviously clever marital indictment THE LOVER. SURE THING will be enacted by two Milwaukee favorites (Brooke Wegner, Ken Dillon) while THE LOVER presents an equally impressive two-handed cast (Ericka Wade, Jason Wills). Local actor/writer Tom Dillon makes his directing debut with SURE THING and Boulevard's Artistic Director Mark Bucher tackles THE LOVER.

Dillon has appeared countless times with the Boulevard (AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN, THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT, MRS. FARNSWORTH, THE DAYS OF WINE & ROSES) as well as many other theatres (Windfall, Dramatists Theatre, etc.) and is a recognized face amongst Milwaukee audiences.

FOURPLAY: 4 COMEDIES OF SEDUCTION explore love and seduction with wit and affection. John Patrick Shanley's tender play THE RED COAT showcases a teenage crush while Elaine Jarvik's tart marital portrait DEAD RIGHT humorously dramatizes long-married love.

David Ives' romp SURE THING reinvents the "pick-up" while Harold Pinter's droll satire THE LOVER indicts marriage altogether. With Hugh Blewett, Ken Dillon, Mark Ninneman, Keigan Vannoy, Barbara Weber, Ericka Wade, Brooke Wegner and Jason Will.

The other productions for the season are THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, running November 24th to January 9th; Becky Shaw, running February 9th to March 13th; and RIGHT YOU ARE! (IF YOU THINK YOU ARE!), running from April 20th to May 22nd.

The Boulevard Theatre has broken artistic ground, helped nurture local talent and provided unique theatrical experiences to its community for a quarter of a century. Boulevard's surrounding neighborhood has (thanks to the impact & influence of this small "Johnny Appleseed of the arts") been transformed from an economically challenged area with little hope to a thriving business sector and cultural destination. Boulevard has won citations and awards citing its presence as an important factor in Bay View's rebirth.

The Boulevard's alumni have graduated from early career opportunities on the Boulevard stage to starring turns at the Skylight Opera, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Milwaukee Rep and many more arts organizations throughout the country. Its technical and administrative alumni have grown from enthusiastic beginners to respected professionals in the Milwaukee arts community.
