CAST ANNOUNCED FOR THE NEW NATIONAL TOUR OF BROADWAY'S

SMASH HIT MUSICAL COMING TO THE BROWARD CENTER

The 'black box' production of CHICAGO, the longest running revival in Broadway history is coming back to South Florida. This mounting of the Kander and Ebb masterpiece is done in minimalist fashion; virtually no sets or costumes.

Many stars/celebrities have appeared in the CHICAGO revival, still playing to nearly full capacity houses on Broadway. Along with the Oscar winning Best Picture of CHICAGO, the marquee value names who have appeared in the revival, have certainly helped the length of the show's run and its almost always packed house. The tour that will play at the Broward Center has Greg Evigan and Carol Woods, both familiar names to many, if not to a great many. The cast of this national tour of CHICAGO is less "starry" than most.

CHICAGO plays the Broward Center April 18 – 30 with performances Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2pm and additional performances Sunday, April 23 at 7:30pm and Wednesday, April 26 at 2pm. Michelle DeJean and Terra C. MacLeod will play the leading roles of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly. Greg Evigan will step into the shoes of master attorney Billy Flynn. Carol Woods will be Matron Mama Morton, Kevin Carolan will be Amos Hart and R. Bean will grace the stage as Mary Sunshine. The company will include Nick Adams, Nicole Bridgewater, Charlie Brumbly, David Bushman, Christophe Caballero, John Carroll, Theresa Coombe, Lenny Daniel, Ivy Fox, David Kent, Jillana Laufer, Melissa Rae Mahon, Kevin Neil McCready, Erich McMillan-McCall, Jill Nicklaus and Tonya Wathen.

Produced by Tony® Award winners, Barry and Fran Weissler and under the Tony® Award winning direction of Walter Bobbie and spotlighting the Tony® Award winning choreography by Ann Reinking in the style of the legendary Bob Fosse, CHICAGO features the "razzle-dazzle" music and lyrics of master Broadway multi-award winning composers John Kander and Fred Ebb, with book by Mr. Ebb and the late Bob Fosse.

Michelle DeJean played the role of Mona for more than six years in the Broadway company of CHICAGO. Michelle has been seen in the international tour of CHICAGO (Mona) and in national tours that include West Side Story (Anita), Mame (Gloria Upson), and Jesus Christ Superstar. Terra C. MacLeod comes to the National Tour after making her Broadway debut in the role of Velma Kelly, a role she also originated in the French production of CHICAGO in Montreal and Paris.

Greg Evigan has enjoyed success as an actor, singer, songwriter and musician. He is known around the world best for his character portrayals of B.J. McKay on the hit television series B.J. and the Bear and Joey Harris in My Two Dads. Greg was seen on the Hallmark Channel in Molding Clay and Straight from the Heart and was "Joe" the angel, in He Sees You When You're Sleeping (Mary Higgins Clark) with guest appearances on CSI Miami and Jag and numerous others.

Carol Woods joins the tour direct from Broadway. Carol's impressive list of Broadway credits include The Full Monty, Follies, Smokey Joe's Café, Stepping Out, The Goodbye Girl, Big River, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas among others. Carol is known to audiences around the world for her stage, film, television, concert and nightclub performances. 

CHICAGO, winner of 6 Tony® Awards including Best Musical Revival and a Grammy Award for its cast recording, has the distinction of being Broadway's longest running revival, still SRO in its 9th year at the Ambassador Theatre in New York. Its story of two real life murderesses and a lawyer who turns them into media celebrities is a page right out of today's newspapers.

The immense worldwide success of CHICAGO spawned the Academy Award winning film version. Time Magazine calls it "A Triumph," Newsweek raves "Smashing" and Entertainment Weekly sums it up by calling CHICAGO "Broadway's Most Electrifying Show."
