Rising Action Theater Presents WHO KILLED JOAN CRAWFORD? 11/14

On Monday, November 14th at 7:30pm Rising Action will present the first ever public reading of the new comedy/mystery "Who Killed Joan Crawford?" by Carbonell/Silver Palm Award winner Michael Leeds who last season directed Rising Action Theatre's critically acclaimed production of The Boys In The Band. 

On a dark stormy night, five men arrive at a cabin in upstate New York to celebrate the birthday of their friend, soap star, TRick Rogers. Each guest is dressed as Trick's favorite actress and mentor, Joan Crawford, in one of her signature roles. But Trick is late, and while waiting for the birthday boy to arrive, the "Joans" begin drinking and dishing until dark secrets emerge, long-held resentments arerevealed and soon there's one Joan less... Who Killed Joan Crawford?!

His plays include The First Step (authored as Henry Covery) and The Gift. As librettist: Miracles (co-wrote with Joe Stein, score by Sheldon Harnick, Stephen Schwartz, David Shire, Marvin Hamlisch) and a new version of Cole Porter's Red, Hot And Blue (Director/Writer, Goodspeed Opera/Papermill Playhouse) as well as co-writing the book, music and lyrics for Mating Habits of the Urban Mammal, (Broward Stage Door Theatre).
