Miami City Ballet's new production of George Balanchine's A Midsummer Night's Dream brings some of Shakespeare's most celebrated characters to life. Join MCB Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez, playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney and the Miami City Ballet dancers for an exploration of the play, and how ballet dancers draw upon dramatic techniques from the theater for inspiration. Moderated by costume and design historian Tanya Williams Wetenhall.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is made possible by the generous support of Claudia and Steven Perles, Title Sponsors.

Thirty minutes prior to each performance in the lobby, patrons can enjoy a complimentary "open bar" reception with wine and soft drinks.

Open Barre is a special dance series that takes place twice a year at MCB's intimate 200-seat Lynn and Louis Wolfson, II Theatre on South Beach (2200 Liberty Avenue). It provides an in-depth, insider's view of the Company, the School and a host of artists who will give audiences a unique perspective on the art form.
