Maltz Jupiter Theatre Offers Family Fun in May with FAME May 21 & 22

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre located east of U.S. Highway 1 at 1001 East Indiantown Road and State Road A1A will offer Family activites for the month of May with "First Step to Stardom" auditions on May 1, a children's production of Putting it Together on May 8 at 7:30 PM and Fame: The Musical on May 21 & 22 at 7:30 PM.  Tickets for the shows are $20 for adults and $15 for students and are available by phone at (561) 575-2223. "First Step to Stardom" - 12-8 p.m.
Saturday, May 1 - The Maltz Jupiter Theatre will audition hundreds of children for its upcoming productions of Academy and The Sound of Music at this free event, sponsored by WPEC-Channel 12 and PBG Lifestyle Magazine. There will be fun activities for children, with booths by such local businesses and organizations as Kilwin's ice cream, My Gym, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, the River Center, Hibel Museum of Art and Roger Dean Stadium. Putting it Together - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8 - Join students of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Conservatory of Performing Arts as they celebrate the Best of Broadway, with a musical revue performance of Putting it Together. This fun-filled evening includes songs and scenes from Annie, School House Rock, Mary Poppins, Sunday in the Park with George and more. Fame: The Musical - 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22 -- A group of vibrant, multi-cultural, energetic young people gathers to audition to study at New York City's High School of Performing Arts. The show follows their successes and failures as they look ahead to careers. The show is underwritten by the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild. Tickets: $20 adults, $15 students. Phone: (561) 575-2223.
