"TEA AT THE RITZ" COMMITTEE SETS PLANS FOR THE PLAYGROUND THEATRE'S FIFTH SEASON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

IVANKA TRUMP TO SERVE AS HONORARY CHAIRMAN

Major enthusiasm was clearly evident at the recent coffee hosted by Flavia Lowenstein-Elortegui when friends and supporters, cheerily tagged the "Tea at the Ritz" Committee, gathered to discuss plans for The PlayGround Theatre's Fifth Anniversary celebration to be held Sunday, May 17, at 3 P.M. at South Beach's Ritz Carlton Hotel.

Revealed was the news that Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump who has stepped out as a major designer of high-style jewelry, will serve as Honorary Chairperson. As an active participant, the celebrated young entrepreneur has agreed to provide her Ivanka Trump Collection of diamond jewelry for a duo of exclusive South Florida trunk shows to be held Friday, May 15, from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M., and Saturday May 16, from 6 P.M. to 10 P.M. at private homes to be announced. A generous percentage of the sales will be directed to support The PlayGround Theatre's Education and Outreach Program.

Also announced was that famed event impresario Barton G. will produce the party while WSVN-7's popular anchor Belkys Nerey, will act as Mistress of Ceremonies. Highlights of the afternoon which will totally benefit The PlayGround Theatre's outreach programs, will be a full scale Children's Fashion Show complete with runway, favorite characters from past productions, lollipop making, magicians, and a score of exciting opportunities for parents to join their youngsters in the festivities as they did at last year's sold-out Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Maria Lowe joins Ms. Lowenstein-Elortegui as chairman of "Tea at the Ritz". To date, committee members include: Stephanie Sayfie Aagaard, Gudelay Alibhai, Hilda Alvarez, Alexis Summer Angel, Stephanie Ansin, Nancy Rosen Bernstein, Jaleh Bast, Geane Brito, Neelam Chatani, Mariela Cisneros Mestre, Nia Eismann, Tamara Feola, Gina Gardner, Jill Gersten-Stiss, Kelly Gold, Sarah Harrelson, Elysze Held, Maite Koffler, Linda Lecht, Lydia Leon de Leon, Gisela Lowenstein, Ingrid Palmisano, Priya Panjabi, Lisa Pliner, Norma Quintero, Stephanie Rosen, Mitchell Rubell, Anne-Sophie Sayman, Nicole Swanson, Maggie Villacampa, and Leslie Weil.

Individual Tickets are $125 per adult, $50 per child; (Each adult and child receives a ticket to a performance during the season.)

Patron tickets of $1,000 include 2 seats at the Party, participation of one child in the fashion show (a second child may participate for $500.) Each adult and child receives a ticket to a performance during the season.

Sponsorship packages are available for $25,000, $10,000, and $5,000. With a gift of $5,000 or more, you will receive a table for 10, the opportunity for your child (or children) to model in the fashion show, and tickets to the PlayGround Theatre performance of your choice.
