Christine Ebersole Benefit Concert Raises $150,000 for Maltz Jupiter Theatre

An exclusive November benefit concert by beloved stage, screen and television star Christine Ebersole at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre raised nearly $150,000 for the not-for-profit theatre.

A two-time Tony Award winning "Best Actress" (for Grey Gardens and the revival of 42nd Street), Ebersole enchanted audiences with her glorious voice, singing Broadway classics and standards from the Great American Songbook. Backed by a 10-piece orchestra led by musical director John Oddo, Ebersole brought the house down with songs from Sondheim, Gershwin, Arlen and more, featuring such beloved tunes as "On the Atchinson, Topeka and The Santa Fe," "Johnny One Note" and her signature title song from Broadway's 42nd Street.

"The concert was a tremendous success, and we were honored to continue the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Tony Award winner benefit concert series with a dazzling performance by Broadway star Christine Ebersole," said Pamela Dyar, director of development for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre. "We are so grateful for the generous support from our patrons, and all of the proceeds went to support the vital programs here at our not-for-profit Theatre and our Goldner Conservatory of Performing Arts."

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre emerged on the theatrical scene in 2004, offering award-winning productions among some of the best in the country. The largest regional theatre in Florida, the Theatre draws nearly 100,000 theatregoers per year and serves more than 600 students annually through its Conservatory. Financial contributions to the Conservatory enable more than 25 percent of its students to receive scholarships.

More than 50 supporters attended an elegant pre-concert sit-down dinner onsite at the Theatre in the Theatre's upstairs club level, The Green Room Club Level Lounge, and after the performance, Ebersole joined the guests for dessert, coffee and cordials.

The performance marked the third concert in the Theatre's annual Tony Award winner benefit series, following previous popular benefit performances by Brian Stokes Mitchell and Chita Rivera. Plans are already underway for next year's concert.
