A.R. Gurney's

Love Letters

At the

Boca Raton Theatre Guild
December 4-6

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild's production of  A.R. Gurney's  Love Letters will run from December 4th to December 6th  only at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton's Sugar Sand Park.

Performed by two actors sitting side by side and reading a lifetime's worth of correspondence, the lives of Gurney's two characters, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, gradually unfold.  Romantic, evocative, bittersweet and funny, Love Letters explores the passion of youth, the cynicism of age, and all that comes between.

Director Jerri Iaia has chosen veteran actors Phyllis Spear and Paul Rosen to portray Melissa and Andy.  Iaia has been working with the Boca Raton Theatre Guild since 1988 as an actor, director, and playwright.  She moved to Boca Raton after pursuing a professional career in New York City.

Phyllis Spear has appeared in California Suite, Why We Have a Body, Plaza Suite, Lovers and Other Strangers, Rumors, Barefoot in the Park and Social Security. She studies with director Michael Leeds and is a board member of the Boca Raton Theatre Guild.

Paul Rosen has appeared regularly on stages throughout South Florida for the past several years.  Some of his credits include The False Witness, Don't Drink The Water, Awake And Sing, Broken Angels, Little Piggies, Pinocchio, From Here To Where, Stop Me If You've Heard This One, and many productions of the Boca Raton Theatre Guild's Grab Our Shorts and their Annual Staged Play-Reading Festivals.

The Boca Raton Theatre Guild is a community theatre and not-for-profit organization led by a group of volunteers dedicated to producing professional quality performances, advancing the art of theatre, and involving the community in all aspects of its activities.

Performances of Love Letters are on Friday, December 4th and Saturday December 5th at 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday December 5th and Sunday December 6th at 2:00 p.m.  All tickets are $10, and are on sale now.  Tickets may be purchased by calling the Willow Theatre box office at 561-347-3948.   For more information please visit the Boca Raton Theatre Guild's website at:  www.brtg.org.
