Theater Works at Peoria Center for the Performing Arts invites everyone to experience the magic and wonder of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

This captivating classic has become as much a part of the holiday season as holly, mistletoe, and evergreen wreaths. It is the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge's ghostly journeys through Christmases past, present, and future and his inspiring transformation from a harsh and greedy old miser to a charitable and compassionate human being.

"Imagine magnificent costumes with fashions from the late 1800's, an energetic cast and delightfully spooky ghosts dressed to impress" says Robyn Allen, Artistic Director for Theater Works. "The return of this production is grander than ever," continues Allen. "The audience will be drawn in by this extraordinary play filled with beautiful songs and the emotional power emanating from the stage."

A Christmas Carol opens on the Gyder Theater stage at Peoria Center for the Performing Arts tonight, December 1, 2012 and runs through December 23, 2012.

"Bring your family, bring your friends, and check your 'humbugs' at the door" suggests Dan Schay, Executive Director for Theater Works.
