Four aspiring young novelists sign up for private writing lessons with Leonard, a once celebrated literary figure. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon, and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious, as innocence collides with experience in this sharp comedy.

Seminar is directed by Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Irene Crist (The Seagull; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and features Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Michael Detroit (The Fantasticks; Hairspray) as Leonard. His long-suffering students will be played by Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Morgan Howard (Tribes; The Seagull), Associate Company Member Julia Massoti (The Seagull; Peter Pan), Jared Graham (Assassins) and Gregory Szatkowski (making his Playhouse on the Square debut).

Seminar runs May 29 - June 21, 2015 at The Circuit Playhouse and is sponsored by an Anonymous Company. The Pay What You Can performance is Thursday, June 4th and is sponsored by ArtsZone/AutoZone and Southland Park Gaming and Racing. The Circuit Playhouse is located at 51 S. Cooper St. For more information or to make reservations, please call 901-726-4656 or visit playhouseonthesquare.org.
