Renowned puppet company Swazzle Productions presents Dream Carver. Dream Carver, a bilingual musical based on the children's book of the same name by Diana Cohn, will be brought masterfully to life for one night only tonight, January 23rd at 6:30 PM as part of the Orpheum Family Series.

Dream Carver proves that imagination can be a compelling force of change. Mateo is a boy growing up in Oaxaca, Mexico where his father has taught him to carve small wooden toys in the traditional way. One night, Mateo dreams of fantastic, brightly colored animals that dance and sing, led by a charismatic quetzal (an iridescent bird). When he wakes, he begins carving his dream animals into life. The show features a variety of colorful handcrafted puppets, original songs, and a cast of Broadway-trained puppeteers. Through Mateo's experience, audiences will be encouraged to think creatively, try new things, and embrace individuality.

Dream Carver is produced and performed by celebrated puppet company Swazzle Productions, which will brings its innumerable talents and puppetry experience to the Orpheum stage for this enthralling family production. Swazzle puppeteers and designers have worked with world-renowned entertainment companies such as The Jim Henson Company, Muppets Studio, and The Walt Disney Company.
