Penobscot Theatre Company is taking it all off this summer with a show that leaves no laughs barred: Terrance McNally's The Full Monty will cap the company's 43rd season, running June 15 through July 9. Tickets go on sale for subscribers only,January 30, at the discounted price of $33 each. All performances will be at the historic Bangor Opera House in Downtown Bangor.

With a book by Tony Award-winning Terrance McNally and score by David Yazbek, The Full Monty is an Americanized musical adaptation of the hit 1997 British film of the same name. The story follows six unemployed steel workers who decide that taking it all off might be the most reliable way to earn the money and respect they have been missing. "This show has incredible heart," said Producing Artistic Director Bari Newport. "It explores the unique chemistry of male friendships, the connection between career and self-worth, and the absurdity of our contemporary culture. The characters are so loveable and the music is contagious!"

Ethan Paulini will direct and choreograph, bringing years of experience in New York, on national tours, and in the regions. Paulini has a long history with The Full Monty having acted, choreographed and directed multiple productions around the country including at Arkansas Rep and at Provincetown Theatre. Paulini, a graduate of Emerson College, will make his Penobscot Theatre Company debut. He is a company member of New Jersey Repertory Theater and is currently preparing to direct and choreograph Little Women: The Musical at Ocean State Theatre Company in Rhode Island. He is a member of Actors' Equity Association (AEA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA).
