Penobscot Theatre Company has announced its Spring Session of Dramatic Academy classes, workshops, and vacation camps for children, teens, and adults. Opportunities for students of all ages will be offered March-May.

Spring Session for Tiny Thespians (ages 4-6) and Youth Troupe (ages 7-13)
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Adapted from the novel by Lewis Carroll; directed by Jasmine A. Ireland
Tiny Thespian Classes: Tuesdays & Thursdays, March 18 - May 15, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Youth Troupe Classes: Tuesdays & Thursdays March 18 - May 15, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Performances: May 16, 17 & 18

April Vacation Camp
This popular offering is a great way to for beginners to explore PTC's programs and for returning students to hone their craft and see theater friends during the school vacation. Each day has a special theme and features a guest artist and a brief showcase for family and friends at the end of the afternoon. April vacation camp will be held April 21-25 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Students may enroll for any or all days.

Master Class Series
PTC's Master Class series for teens and adults continues this spring with:

  • Comedia Dell'Arte and Clowning, led by director Kappy Kilburn (God of Carnage, Wit, INK): March 15, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Technical Design, led by scenic designer Tricia Hobbs and lighting designer Scout Hough (OUR TOWN): March 15, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Singing/Songwriting, led by musician Jacob Augustine, composer of the original score for Our Town: May 10, 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Improv III
The spring session of Improv will be available to students who have previously participated in the class. Teaching artist Brad LaBree will instruct advanced improv techniques: Tuesdays, March 4 - May 13, 5:30-7:30 p.m. The session will culminate in a showcase.
