Portland Ovations brings the live action graphic novel, The Intergalactic Nemesis to Merrill Auditorium for a family-friendly performance on Thursday, February 27th at 7pm.

The Intergalactic Nemesis is a mesmerizing theater experience which includes three actors performing dozens of characters in front of vintage microphones with larger than life comic book artwork projected panel by panel overhead while a single Foley Artist creates hundreds of sound effects, and a keyboardist performs the score, all done live from the stage.

When The Intergalactic Nemesis Live-Action Graphic Novel premiered in 2010, more than 2,100 people turned out. Shortly thereafter, it was featured on NPR and Conan O'Brien. Now, in its third touring season, the production has hit more than 80 venues around the US, UK, and Canada, including a run at the New Victory Theatre on Broadway. This one-of-a-kind all-ages show is not to be missed.

The Intergalactic Nemesis - Book One: Target Earth takes the audience on an epic journey of danger and adventure. The setting: 1933 Rumania, where Pulitzer-winning reporter Molly Sloan, her intrepid assistant Timmy Mendez, and a mysterious librarian named Ben Wilcott travel from Scotland to the Alps to Tunis and finally landing on the Robot Planet to face the most serious threat Earth has ever known sludge monsters from the planet Zygon. It is pure fun and entertainment for the whole family, described by the New York Post as, "Great Fun! [A] happily retro multimedia extravaganza!" and by the Wall Street Journal as, "A show that melds the retro appeal of radio serials with the cutting-edge cool of the graphic novel."

Tickets for the Intergalactic Nemesis range from $23 to $27 for Ovations' Members and from $25 to $30 for the general public. To purchase tickets, visit www.portlandovations.org contact PortTIX at 207-842-0800 or walk up to the box office window at Merrill Auditorium.
