The 39th Season at Penobscot Theatre Company kicks off with Always... Patsy Cline, on stage from September 5 through September 23. This inspirational show is told through the letters of star-struck fan Louise Seger, portrayed by Julie Arnold Lisnet.

This popular musical, which has enjoyed great success both off-Broadway and across the nation, is based on the true story of Cline's friendship with Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in l961 and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death. Featuring the unforgettable hits of the Country Music mega-star, this funny and touching tribute celebrates the career and life of the singer who died tragically in a plane crash in 1963. "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces," "Sweet Dreams" and "Walking After Midnight" are just a few of the 27 featured songs.

Julie Arnold Lisnet plays Houston housewife, Louise Seger. Julie's extensive work in the Bangor area spans three decades as a leading actress, director, producer and educator. As an actress she has been seen on the stages of Penobscot Theatre Company, Maine Shakespeare Festival, Theatre of the Enchanted Forest, Marsh Island Stage and Ten Bucks Theatre Company, for which she is also a founding member. "We auditioned a number of actresses from all over the country, but didn't find Louise until Julie read the lines. Then, we were like, Bingo! Here she is," says Artistic Director, Bari Newport.

Starring as Patsy Cline is Orlando's Laura Hodos. "I am so thrilled that Laura is joining us in this production," says Newport. "From the moment I met her seven years ago, I have been haunted by the beauty of her tremendous voice. Bangor audiences are in for a treat. If anyone can do Patsy Cline justice, it is Laura." Laura has performed all over the world including performances at Lincoln Center, Radio City and a year with Tokyo Disney. As a Florida based actress and singer, Laura has performed with the Sarasota and Jacksonville Symphonies, Orlando Philharmonic, American Stage (St. Pete), Winter Park Playhouse, and the Maltz Jupiter Theatre among others.

Always... Patsy Cline is directed by Jon Ferreira who returns to PTC after nearly eighteen years away from the area, racking up directing credits in Boston, New York and Los Angeles.
