Penobscot Theatre Company is proud to welcome Frogtown Puppeteers back to the Bangor Opera House for a new show sure to delight. "The Legend of the Banana Kid" takes audiences to the Wild West where our hero Little Chucky must outsmart some outlaws and restore justice. With his trusty goat and a bunch of bananas as his weapon of choice, Chucky is fit for the task! "The show, which will start at 10:00 am on May 3, coincides with the Kid Central Festival in Downtown Bangor," said Bradley LaBree, community outreach manager for Penobscot Theatre Company. "Families can start with Frogtown and enjoy a full day of fun downtown."

Siblings Erik, Brian, and Robin Torbeck are the artists behind Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers, a small puppetry troupe founded in 2000 and based in Bar Harbor, Maine. Frogtown has performed at fairs, festivals, theatres, parades, schools, and libraries across the East Coast, earning a loyal following and cultivating appreciation for the art of puppetry. All shows are written by the Frogtown Mountain Puppeteers and performed with their handmade puppets.

Tickets are $6 for children and $12 for adults, sold at the door.
