The national anthem of Luxembourg "Ons Heemecht" was performed for the first time June 5, 1864 in Ettelbruck by 550 singers and 240 musicians. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the first performance, Military Music Grand Ducal offers a concert that will be the first event in a series of events organized by the City of Ettelbruck around independence, identity, multicultural society and nationality. The Military Music Grand Ducal is from August 1, 2012, led by Lieutenant Jean-Claude Braun. Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Army Staff, the band consists of sixty professional musicians. He regularly provides services for the Grand Ducal Court and the Government, and participates in the management of patriotic ceremonies.
