Artistic Director Tony Prince and Producing Director Richard McGrew are excited to announce the opening of their 2016-2017 season with Jennifer Haley's "The Nether."

"The Nether" will run September 1 through September 11 at The Henry Clay Theatre, 604 South Third Street, Louisville, KY.

The Liminal Playhouse's production is directed by Prince who says, "Jennifer Haley's 'The Nether' is engaging on every level-intellectual, emotional, ethical, moral...even spiritual."

McGrew says, "'The Nether' is a real discussion starter that explores the increasingly unclear boundaries between the real world and the virtual worlds we create."

About the New York premiere, The New York Times wrote that it "exerts a viselike grip, while taking you down avenues of thought you probably haven't traveled yet."

The cast is Rick Kautz, Vanessa Miller, Paul Lenzi, Lila Schaffner and Neil Brewer. Production designers include: scenic designer Eric Allgeier, lighting designer Keith Kimmel, costume designer Lindsay Chamberlin and composer/Sound Designer Richard McGrew.

The Liminal Playhouse's season will continue with "Venus in Fur" by David Ives running from November 10 through November 20 at Vault1031, 1031 South Sixth Street, Louisville, KY.

The season will close with "Time Stands Still" by Donald Margulies which runs March 23 through April 2, 2017 at The Henry Clay Theatre.

Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. Subscriptions for all three shows are $48. Subscriptions and tickets are available at TheLiminalPlayhouse.org or by calling (502) 553-8056.
