Come to Central Park for a FREE summer festival of events. Experience the beautiful outdoors, cool summer evening breezes, comfortable seating and refreshments and the vista of Central Park and Old Louisville, June 20th - July 22. Two great Shakespeare plays. Five fabulous films.

The Plays

Twelfth Night is one of the most commonly performed Shakespearean comedies, and was also successful during Shakespeare's lifetime. A beautiful exploration of love and romance in disguise, shrouded in Celtic themes and Irish music. Twelfth Night focuses on the passion that motivates us to find our true heart's desire.

The show runs Tuesdays - Sundays - June 20 - July 14. Pre-show entertainment starts at 7:00 p.m. Play starts at 8:30 p.m. in Central Park in Old Louisville, 1300 block of S. 4th Street -- Between Park & Magnolia. Refreshments: Food, refreshments and a Brown-Forman full bar at all performances.

The Taming of the Shrew depicts the outlandish courtship of two couples and the lengths they go to for love. The Taming of the Shrew is a hilarious look at gender relations in the way only Shakespeare can present it.

The production is presented by The Player's Conservatory, and runs Tuesdays - Sundays - June 20 - July 14. Pre-show entertainment starts at 7:00 p.m. Play starts at 8:30 p.m. in Central Park in Old Louisville, 1300 block of S. 4th Street -- Between Park & Magnolia. SUMMER MONDAY MOVIE NIGHTS

Kentucky Shakespeare Summer Monday Movie Nights (all free) in Central Park in Old Louisville begins Monday, June 24th through July 22nd. All shows start promptly at 9:30 p.m.. Concessions and a full bar will be available. There are five great movies:

June 24th: OZ The Great and Powerful
July 1st: Argo
July 8th: Les Miserables
July 15th: The Princess Bride
July 22nd: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (featuring live actors, bird seed, newspaper
and toast)
