A Christmas-themed play sure to please even the Scrooge-iest types, The Kings Of CHRISTMAS, will play The Bards Town Theatre (corner of Speed and Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands), December 13 - 16 and December 20 - 23. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

Back by popular demand, The Kings Of Christmas is brisk, irreverent, and laugh-filled fun that will fill even the Scrooge-iest types with holiday cheer. It's Christmas, and the eccentric King family has gathered for its 10th family Christmas since the passing of the family's patriarch, an Elvis-impersonating magician known as "The Magistic King," died (or disappeared) while on stage during a nationally-televised magic show. What's more, the family cat Marley has--just that day--met a very similar demise. When middle son Carter arrives home determined this will be his last Christmas with the family he deems an embarrassment, the "lunatic family" tries to rekindle Carter's Christmas spirit in a very unorthodox way...with a little help from some spirits.

As Playwright-in-Residence at The Bard's Town Theatre, Mr. Schutte's previous plays at The Bard's Town Theatre include, Chasing Ophelia ("Best Theatrical Production" by LEO Reader's Choice), the 2012 hit Misses Strata, and short plays Love Religiously and StaiNed Glass.

As with all Bard's Town Theatre shows, drink service will be available during the show, and audience members can dine at the Bard's Town Restaurant prior to or after the theatre show.

Tickets are $15 adults, $10 for seniors and students. Purchase at the door, by calling 749-5275, or visit www.thebardstown.com.
