Stars of DIRTY DANCING & More Set for Broadway Connection Classes in Louisville, Starting 9/18

September 19th kicks off an extensive Broadway Connection season in Louisville with scheduled Master Classes at local studios including Ellen's School of Dance, 360 Dance, Dance 502 and more as they introduce students to Broadway Connection Teachers, Eric Johnson, Jordana Grolnick and Ben Lanham from the cast of CINDERELLA, Amy Quanbeck from the cast of DIRTY DANCING (pictured, left), and later this season, Broadway Connection teachers in WICKED and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

The 2-hour Broadway Connection Master Classes are scheduled at the each studio's home location in Louisville while the teaching artists perform at the Kentucky Center. In the elite Broadway Connection Classes, students and parents experience direct access to current working Broadway performers who share the technique, style and training required to work professionally in dance, theater, TV and film.

Ellen's School of Dance, 360 Dance, Dance 502 and over 20 more studios, schools and universities in the Louisville area have taken advantage of this rare opportunity to dance with Broadway's most elite artists in the comfort of their home spaces through Broadway Connection. And the community is thrilled to have the inspiration, passion, and energy of New York back again for the 8th season in a row.

ABOUT THE BROADWAY CONNECTION FACULTY:

Amy Quanbeck is a pre-med graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a BFA in Dance Performance. Her training includes the American Ballet Theatre and Julliard. Amy's choreography has been performed across the country and numerous times at UCI. She is a proud Broadway Connection teacher and member of Actor's Equity who has taught master classes to students of all ages for the past six years. Amy has loved sharing her experience with students everywhere as a Broadway Connection Teacher in the Broadway National Tour of WICKED and now as a cast member of DIRTY DANCING!

Originally from Essexville, MI, Eric Johnson has performed, taught, and choreographed all over the world! As a graduate of Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Eric moved to NYC and within a month, cast in the first national tour of WEST SIDE STORY. Since then, Eric has toured with EVITA (1st national), ELF (1st National), and MISS SAIGON. He has performed at dozens of regional theaters including The American Repertory Theater, Kansas City Starlight, Sacramento Music Circus, The Kennedy Center, and Northern Stage.

Currently the Dance Captain and Swing on the First National Tour of CINDERELLA, Eric couldn't be more thrilled to tour the country yet again as a Broadway Connection Teacher! As a performer, Eric has had many amazing experiences, but it's the process of sharing those experiences through teaching that has been the most inspiring. He is honored to be a Master Teacher with Broadway Connection whose BC classes continued to be praised! "Eric gave an amazing class last night! He brought so much joy into our studio and the dancers loved him! Thank you for your program. It's always a great time! ERIC JOHNSON is a true gem!

Originally from Boulder, CO, Jordana Grolnick received her BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan and has performed at the St. Louis Muny in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, JOSEPGH...DREAMCOAT, and SHREK THE MUSICAL. She is thrilled to currently be touring the country in the Broadway National tour of CINDERELLA! As a Broadway Connection Teacher, Jordana has extensive experience working with students of all ages. Her energy and passion for dance is contagious and inspiring!

Ben Lanham grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and trained extensively at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music's Preparatory Department. He also traveled during summer seasons to study under Lane Alexander at The Chicago Human Rhythm Project. As a graduate of Oklahoma City University's Dance and Theater School, Ben has been seen performaning at Music Theatre Wichita, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma and The MUNY. Most recently, he had the pleasure of touring Europe and Israel with the International Tour of WEST SIDE STORY and is thrilled to currently be touring in Broadway's CINDERELLA! As a Broadway Connection Teacher, Ben has extensive teaching experience in New York and across the country.
