Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are delighted to announce Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, based on the book by Charles Dickens, adapted by Barbara Field and directed by Drew Fracher. Dickens' classic tale of hope and redemption finds extraordinary new life in Actors Theatre's joyous production. Celebrate the splendor of the holidays with Dickens' beloved tale of hope and redemption in this spectacular production brimming with unrivaled festive fun, soaring ghosts and cheerful carols that will charm audiences of all ages. A Christmas Carolwill preview November 24 and November 25, open November 27 and run through December 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

Actors Theatre has heralded the holidays with this treasured classic for 40 seasons, making it the second longest continuously-running production of A Christmas Carol in the country. Locally, it's been cherished by generations of families who enjoy the exuberant arrival of the ghosts, the joyous music and Scrooge's wonderful transformation while creating holiday memories that last a lifetime. Actors Theatre's production received a facelift last year and features beautiful period costumes designed by Kristopher Castle (Luna Gale, True West), scenic design by Antje Ellermann (Long Day's Journey into Night, Appropriate andGnit), sound design by Matt Callahan, lighting design by Thomas Hase and Media Design by Philip Allgeier (At the Vanishing Point, The Christians).

Actors Theatre is delighted to welcome Drew Fracher back to direct Dickens' tale for the fifth consecutive year. Previously, Fracher directed two seasons of A Christmas Story and A Tuna Christmas and appeared as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. Former resident company member William McNulty returns as Scrooge in what will now be his 14th consecutive season in the role. He is joined by returning talents Celina Dean as Mrs. Cratchit, Andy Gaukel as Fred and Mr. Fezziwig, Shanara Gabrielle as Mrs. Grigsby,Benjamin Pelteson as Bob Cratchit, John Preston as Narrator, and former Acting Apprentice Emily Stout who reprises her role as Belle. Lindsay Noel Whiting returns after a one year absence as The Ghost of Christmas Past and 2014-2015 Acting Apprentice Alumna Taylor Abels will appear as Mrs. Fezziwig for the first time. Making their A Christmas Carol debuts are Marc Bovino (known for his role as Renfield in Actors Theatre's annual production of Fifth Third Bank's Dracula) as Jacob Marley, Jermaine Miles as Ghost of Christmas Present, and Douglas Waterbury-Tieman as Fiddler. They are joined by members of Actors Theatre's Acting Apprentice Company: Lisa Bol, Mike T. Brown, Michael Fell,Mbali Guliwe, Hannah Karpenko, Yaron Lotan, Ari Shapiro, Jayson Speters, Walls Trimble,Sara Turner, Kyle Whalen and Amelia Windom. In addition, this production includes nine young local actors: Julien Allen, Nadia Allen, Nathan Bukowski, Elise Coughlin, Gabe Weibel, and siblings Austin, Bailey, Calvin, and Vaughn Ramirez.

Actors Theatre is committed to providing an accessible theatre-going experience and offers an open captioned performance on Saturday, December 5 at 2 p.m. and an audio described performance on Sunday, December 6 at 2 p.m. during the run of A Christmas Carol.
