Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant has announced its enthusiastic participation in the "What A Joke Comedy Festival".

Organized by New York comedians Jenn Welch (The New York Comedy Festival) and Emily Winter (Writer for TV Land, Fusion TV) the Festival features comedians in over 20 cities coordinating shows to raise money for the ACLU on Inauguration Week In response to the President-elect's repeated threats on human rights.

From Sunday, January 15th, through Sunday, January 22nd, benefit comedy shows under the name WHAT A JOKE will take place simultaneously around the country and in the UK. Because seriously, what a joke.

"For over 6 years, Flappers has consistently participated in efforts to create a more equitable, peaceful and just society" says Flappers co-founder Dave Reinitz "with the impending anointment of Trump, there has never been a more obvious demand to fulfill our commitment and to stand clearly with the forces of inclusion, compassion, equality and justice."
