Theatre Unleashed to Kick Off PLAY/TIME Late-Night Show Following TRUST, 10/5

October 1
9:41 PM 2013

Theatre Unleashed is putting the final touches on its new space The Belfry Stage upstairs at The Crown in NoHo in preparation for the opening of Steven Dietz "Trust" a week from tonight! Also, opening next Saturday will be yet another cool and challenging show from the company. Over the course of six weeks, the company is going to write and produce 36 BRAND NEW SHOWS! No joke.

Play/Time, A Late Night Series Show, will be directed by Erin Scott and written by Aaron Kozak, Anthony Rutowicz, Ben Atkinson, Gregory Crafts, JacoB Smith and Lee Pollero.

SYNOPSIS: The company that brought 24-Hour Theatre and 25 Plays Per Hour to L.A. is taking on a new theatrical challenge with its next installment in the Late Night Series. Theatre Unleashed is excited to present Play/Time! Six writers will be given a new prompt every week for six weeks. They'll have less than a week to each write a full short play. A group of actors then has less than a week to rehearse all six and put them up on stage. While they're rehearsing, the writers get new prompts and start working on the next batch for the actors to perform. Each week features different plays so every show is different! When all is said and done, Theatre Unleashed will have written and produced 36 new works!

The show runs Saturdays, Oct.5-Nov. 9 at 10 p.m. *Special presentation on Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. **No show on Saturday, Oct. 19 as TU will host a 24-Hour Theatre Event. The Belfry Stage is located Upstairs at the Crown, 11031 Camarillo St., North Hollywood, Calif. Ticket prices: General Admission: $10.
