Ring in the New Year at The Rose Center Theater with Susan Egan in Concert this Saturday at 9pm, followed by a party to welcome 2012. Susan will be joined by 24 students from Orange County High School of the Arts and Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts in this fundraiser for Westminster’s theatrical jewel, The Rose Center Theater.

Orange County's own Tony-nominated Broadway baby Susan Egan sends the year out on a high note with this joyful concert, filled with music, humor, personal anecdotes and more. With her award-winning acting chops, her riotous humor Egan takes you on a journey from Belle to babies and beyond.

This acclaimed singer and actress starred on Broadway as Thoroughly Modern Millie, and as the longest-running Sally Bowles in Cabaret. She also originated the role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast, for which she was nominated for both Tony and Drama Desk Awards. A seasoned concert performer as well, Egan has appeared at the Hollywood Bowl three times, in addition to the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, and has released three critically-praised solo CDs. A southern California native, Egan attended the Orange County High School of the Arts and served as its interim artistic director in 2002.

Egan will be accompanied by Dr. Stephen Cook at the piano. Students representing Orange County High School of the Arts include Katie Baker, Anna Belmer, Connor Berkompas, Will Daniel, Ian Hewitt, Sarah Hinrichsen, Chloe Horner, Gavin Leatherwood, Tayler Mettra, Katie Perry, Ian Phillips and Elise Vannerson. Students representing Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts include Lily Bryson, Devin Cortez, Jake Gonzalez, Amanda Hinchee, Brion Kerry, Sarah Marion, Shiloh Orr, Elizabeth Romero, Scout Sable, Kyle Selig, Trevin Stephenson and Alex Syiek.

The Rose Center Theater is located at 14140 All American Way Westminster CA, 92683 off of Westminster Avenue two blocks east of Beach Boulevard. Parking is available in the corner lot or at City Hall in the public parking stalls.
