Dennis Hensley's The MisMatch Game! returns to the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre for two of its riotously unpredictable performances tonight and Sunday, May 2 and 4, 2014. Los Angeles Times calls this outrageous parody of the classic '70s game show "witty, ribald... an adventure in Surrealist era-bending."

Producer and host Dennis "Gene Rayburn" Hensley will be joined onstage by a panel of some of L.A.'s most creative, hilarious and demented comic minds. Hensley & Company are once again generously donating the proceeds to benefit Center's array of free and low-cost services.

The MisMatch Game has become a Los Angeles cult favorite, regularly drawing multitudes of fans to their irregularly scheduled gigs at the Renberg Theatre. In conferring "10 Best" status on the show, The Advocate magazine wrote, "This recurring Los Angeles happening reimagines the '70s TV game show Match Game with full-camp press and excellent sub-lebrity impersonations."

The casts for these shows will be drawn from our ever-growing company of MisMatch Game crazies. Past performers include Willam Belli, Patrick Bristow, Sam Pancake, Julie Brown, Jackie Clarke, Drew Droege, Maile Flanagan, Nadya Ginsburg, Frangela, Tom Lenk, Madeline Long, Kate Flannery, Nicol Paone, Danny Casillas, Melissa Peterman, Felix Pire, Jack Plotnick, Oscar Quintero and Tony Tripoli, and many more, portraying such celebrities as Charles Nelson Reilly, Shelly Winters, Cher, Madonna, Ricardo Montalban, Margot Kidder, Tim Gunn, Jessica Simpson, Tony Orlando & Dawn, and dozens of others. Complete casts for this edition will be posted at www.lagaycenter.org/theatre.

With kitschy prizes for volunteer contestants from the audience, it's time to dig out that leisure suit for an affectionate, irreverent, racy parody of '70s game show insanity.
