Towne Street Theatre presents a staged reading of "The Fountain" by Harriet A. Dickey, Tuesday @ 8pm on May 22, 2012 at the Stella Adler Theatre, located at 6773 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, Calif. $5 donation requested.

The Fountain, a screenplay by Harriet A. Dickey, is about xix high school classmates who reunite for a vacation to the Bahamas, and then head to their 40th high school class reunion. However, after a few martinis, four of them take a sip of water from a fountain reported to have healing properties. When they awake the next morning, they are more than healed. Their bodies are several years younger, but their minds and memories haven't de-aged a bit. What happens NOW?!

The reading features Diane Sellers, Miriam Burch, Barbara Fisher, Sheila Korsi, Jackie Colton, Sue Berger, Anita Noble, Mack Miles, Lynndi Scott, Mark V. Jones, Londale Theus, Raquel Rosser, Emmanuel King, and is directed by Raf Mauro

Founded in the aftermath of the 1992 Los Angeles riots with the belief that we could affect social change through our art, the Towne Street Theatre's mission is creating, developing and producing original work that is reflective of the African-American experience and perspective for theatre and film.
