StubHub Center To Reveal New Marquee on June 19

The welcoming ceremony to officially launch StubHub Center, formerly known as The Home Depot Center, StubHub Center, in Carson Calif. on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills is the 125-acre multi-sport facility that serves at the home of back-to-back MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy and Chivas USA franchises, world class competition and training facilities for amateur, Olympic, collegiate and professional athletes, will take place on Wednesday, June 19.

The official ceremony will precede the opening of the gates, welcoming the first guests into StubHub Center, for the LA Galaxy vs. Portland Timbers regular season MLS match, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

Fans are invited to come early to StubHub Center to be a part of the ceremony at 5 p.m., prior to VIP Gates opening at 5:45 p.m. All gates will open at 6 p.m.

On March 4th, 2013, StubHub, the world's largest ticket marketplace, announced its agreement with AEG to become the new naming rights partner of the development which features an 8,000-seat outdoor pavilion for tennis, boxing, sports and entertainment; a 27,000-seat stadium for soccer, football and other athletic competitions and outdoor concerts; a 2,000-seat facility for track & field and a 2,450-seat indoor Velodrome - the VELO Sports Center for track cycling.

Developed and managed by AEG, StubHub Center is an official U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Site and is also the home of the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) High Performance Training Center, the national team training headquarters for the U.S. Soccer Federation(USSF) and Athletes' Performance, an international training center for elite and professional athletes.

Participants include: City of Carson Mayor Jim Dear, CSUDH President Dr. Willie Hagan, StubHub President Chris Tsakalakis, LA Galaxy President Chris Klein, AEG President and CEO Dan Beckerman and StubHub Center General Manager Katie Pandolfo.
