A month into its third year, LA's premier Cabaret Supper-Club, Sterling's Upstairs located at the legendary Vitello's Restaurant in Studio City, CA has been cited by the LA Daily News as presenting the Best Cabaret Entertainment in Los Angeles. Known for its dedication to presenting the music of Broadway, the Great American Song Book, Retro-Pop, Contemporary Pop, Popera (a mix of Pop and Opera), and new compositions for both stage and recordings, Sterling's has hosted such Broadway, film,  television, and recording stars as Rachel York, Ilene Graff (co-star of the former ABC hit series Mr. Belevdere), Eric Millegan (co-star of the current Fox hit series Bones), Eydie Alyson, Amick Byram, Mary Gutzi, Nita Whitaker, Tony Award-winning composer Jeff Marx (Avenue Q), Kyle Puccia with Alistair Tober and Ana Ortiz (co-star of ABC's Ugly Betty); Jenna Gavigan, Bonifacio Deoso (of Three of a Kind also featuring Gelo Francisco and Annie Nepomuceno), Stepfanie Kramer (co-star of the former NBC hit series Hunter),  James Denton (co-star of ABC's Desperate Housewives), Joan Ryan (of the former NBC hit series Saved by the Bell); one of New York's most recent (2008) Off-Broadway stars Paul Stroili (Straight Up with a Twist) and  Kevin Earley who co-starred on Broadway as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie and will be co-starring in the upcoming epic upcoming musical production of A Tale of Two Cities.  At the opening of Sterling's Upstairs on June 9, 2006, producer Michael Sterling dedicated the club to his longtime friend and mentor, the late, great Rosemary Clooney.   Vitello's has also been cited in Los Angeles Magazine's Best of LA August issue.  

Highlights of Sterling's August headliners include Broadway Musical Theatre veteran Danyelle Bossardet - Saturday, August 9, 2008 in An Enchanted Evening of Music featuring Paul Peglar on piano with Special Guests Nicole Muller and Norman Wilson.  Ms. Bossardet lit up the country's most prominent theatre stages for nearly four and a half years as "Belle" in the 1999 – 2003 national tour of Beauty and the Beast.  She has also starred in Guys and Dolls with both Tom Wopat and Adrien Zmed and in such classics as Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Chess, Grease, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Singin' In The Rain, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, La Cage Aux Folles and Oliver.  Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Honors from the University of Arizona,

Ms. Bossardet has appeared numerous times at the distinguished Arizona Repertory Theatre.  Such shows included They Shoot Horses Don't They, Sunday in the Park with George, Dragons, Grease, Richard III, A Tale of Two Cities and Chamber Music.  In New York City, Ms. Bossardet was an original member of Disney Theatrical's Workshop production of The Little Mermaid.  She most recently guest starred as a soloist with the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado.  

Ben McLain and Paul Peglar take the stage at Sterling's on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Mr. McLain hails from Kenwood, CA in the heart of the wine country. After attending the University of California at Irvine and double majoring in both Vocal Performance and Drama, he relocated to North Hollywood. His stage works include lead roles in Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, West Side Story, Lucky Stiff, Guys and Dolls, and Ask Dorothy. In June, 2008, Ben co-starred in Murder, Mayhem and Music: Showstoppers from the Dark Side of Broadway for the Interact Theatre Company in the NoHo district of North Hollywood.  Ben's love of a cappella music runs infinitely deep.  He is currently a member of the a capella vocal recording group Sonos.  He recently spent 6 months aboard Celebrity Cruises singing in the a cappella group On Point. Mr. McClain often performs oratorio with select symphonies, the Long Beach Chorale, and the Men in Blaque. He is also a top ten finalist for the prestigious a cappella Male Ensemble Chanticleer which tours the world annually.  
 
Paul Peglar is a Midwesterner by birth; Californian by relocation; and a Los Angelino by choice. Paul is proud to say that he plays for a living. His stage work includes lead roles in Songs for a New World, The Crucible, West Side Story, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Into The Woods in which he just appeared (again) as "Jack" at the legendary Starlight Bowl in San Diego, CA.  In film, Paul's projects have made their way to the Tribeca, South By Southwest and Shorttakes Film Festivals, and he recently wrapped his first feature-length movie musical Before We Close. In an effort to keep life interesting, Mr. Peglar's career history includes singing on-board Celebrity Cruise lines, improv-ing at Universal Studios Hollywood, musical directing several shows in Southern CA, recording an album with the a cappella vocal group Sonos, playing in a rock band, doing commercials, starting a theatre company, arranging music for an original holiday show, working as a vocal coach, writing/performing in an online sketch group and playing piano for an improv troupe. The value package price for each of the above headliners is $50 per person and includes a four-course, prix-fixe dinner with a choice from three different entrees, plus a one  hour performance.  Dinner seating is between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, followed by an  8:00 pm performance.

In addition to Sterling's Upstairs, VITELLO'S also offers outdoor dining and a unique variety of carefully selected wines. Widescreen plasma televisions are located throughout the restaurant.  Live opera (a long-time feature at Vitello's) is still performed in the restaurant's downstairs Green Room four nights a week.  Jazz and comedy nights are also offered.
