Second City Hollywood is bringing back the diverse musical sketchcomedy trio Super Gay Asian Cabaret Christmas Spectacular for two performances Wednesday November 25th and December 2nd at 8 pm. The comedy trio is a collaboration of Broadway's J.Elaine Marcos, Kevin Yee, and Richard Ogawa showcasing their original songs and holiday musical parodies, while poking fun at the realities of being an asian entertainer.
Super Gay Asian Cabaret had a successful run at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival and was awardedthe Lemon Lounge Pick of the festival. "An incredibly hilarious show! (J.Elaine Marcos, Kevin Yee,and Richard Ogawa) offer up some great singing and comedy," says theatre reviewer VincentGomez.


J.Elaine Marcos was most recently seen in the Broadway-bound musical Waterfall playing thememorable role of Nuan. Theatre critic Rich Smith of The Stranger says, "J.Elaine turns in the best performance inthe show. Even when she didn't speak, her sense of comedic timing was sophisticated and herexecution precise ." With her extensive Broadway credits, J.Elaine is no stranger to stealing scenes. Sheplayed Lily St.Regis in Annie, Ping-pong-lady Cynthia in Priscilla Queen of the Desert , and Connie Wongin A Chorus Line. On the big screen she has garnered roles in St.Vincent with Bill Murray and in MorningGlory with Rachel McAdams.


Comedian Kevin Yee and his original comedy songs have been making people laugh across America andbeyond. He performs at colleges and festivals, and was the 2015 Boston Pride host with Estelle and MaryLambert. He is a recovering Broadway chorus boy (Mary Poppins, Wicked, and Mamma Mia), and aformer member of Quincy Jones' boy band Youth Asylum. He has several viral youtube music videos, andshares his sassy coming out story in the official It Gets Better book published by Penguin books.


Comedic singer/songwriter Richard Ogawa has performed in numerous theatrical productions, fromoriginating roles off-Broadway, pre-Broadway workshops and readings, regional and touring productionsacross North America, as well as performing in world-renown venues such as Carnegie Hall and LincolnCenter. In addition to his own original music projects, he has continuous collaborations with severalrecording artists and producers in the U.S., Japan, and Finland.
