Pick of the Fringe Selection GIRAFFENSTEIN Extends into July

There's something wild on the loose, and a whole new kind of monster is coming to Hollywood. Official selection at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival in Combined Artform "Pick of the Fringe," Giraffenstein will play two additional performances on Saturday, July 12 at 11:30pm and Saturday, July 19 at 11:55PM as part of The Encore! Producers' Extension Series.

Giraffenstein is the tale of Shelley's 'Frankenstein' as never seen before. Dr. Richard Giraffenstein, on his journey across the African savannah, creates a Monster, who, confused and angry, attempts to find a true home for himself. Song, dance, and danger. And they're all giraffes.

This new musical by Alex Syiek (writer of The Pokémusical - 2013 Best Musical Fringe Winner [DOMA Sponsored]) features direction and musical staging by Joanna Syiek (Broadway World Nomination - Best Direction, The Pokémusical) with musical direction by Jennifer Lin. The cast for the extension of Giraffenstein includes Seth Salsbury as the Doctor and Edred Utomi as the Monster, with Josh Hillinger (Ivan), Katie McDonough (Elizabeth), Tyler Ledon (Moopaseh), Caleb Mills Stewart (Walton), Katie De Shan (Adhra), Kelley Dorney (Bimbaya), Ian Klingenberg (Chiumbo), and Kelsey Schulte (Nthabi). The Female Swing is Rachel Hirshee.

The monster will be seen from June 8-June 29, 2014 at the Lillian Theatre located at 1076 Lillian Way, Los Angeles, CA, 90038. Tickets ($10) are available at http://www.colorandlighttheatre.org or http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/1888.
