The Greenway Arts Alliance at Greenway Court Theatre proudly presents the world premiere of Butterflies of Uganda: The Memories of a Child Soldier, a harrowing story of abduction, escape and reconciliation.

"A tale of family forgiveness, the story unfolds as Mercy finally learns the truth about her mother tragic past and the details of her own conception. Kidnapped along with her brother and Father, then forced to kill her Father, Mary manages to escape after being raped by an influential officer, only to discover she is pregnant. The catharsis of dealing with her personal demons brings Mary a sense of peace and Mercy an understanding of the influences that forced her mother and grandmother to take the actions they did," explain press notes.

Butterflies of Uganda: The Memories of a Child Soldier performs through October 13, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8PM.  Performances are at The Greenway Court Theatre located at 544 North Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, CA.

Tickets are available at 323-655-7679 or online: www.greenwayarts.org, $25 General Admission; $18 Seniors (over 55 with ID) and Students (w/valid ID); $15.00 Groups (10 or more)
