Parson's Nose Theater (PNT), the acclaimed classical comedic theater company, continues its 16th Season with The School for Wives by Molière. This 90-minute production is based on an original translation and adaptation by Parson's Nose Artistic Director, Lance Davis.

"Why now? Because we all need a good laugh! And as with classics, their themes still ring true today," explains Mary Chalon, Director of The School for Wives. "This play is a flat-out comedy that pokes fun at the male assumption of superiority in 17th Century France, when manipulating old men thought themselves perfectly worthy of young brides. Monsieur Arnolphe goes so far as to create the perfect "blank page" for his bride. Does any of this sound familiar? That's what the classics are about. But be assured Nature wins and true love triumphs!"

The Cast is lead by PNT's Artistic Director, Lance Davis, in the lead role of Arnolphe. Davis' lengthy career includes productions at prestigious theaters from The Guthrie to Broadway. Making their Parson's Nose debuts, Aidan Rees and Matt Franta play lovers Agnes and Horace. The cast is rounded out with PNT Company Members Marisa Chandler (Georgette), James Calvert (Alain), and John Harnagel (Chrysalde). The design team includes costume design by Holly Willaume and set design by Jen Orsini.
