OTHELLO to Open The Porter's Ninth Season, Today

OTHELLO kicks off The Porters' ninth season, returning Artistic Director Charles Pasternak to the boards for The Porters for the first time since his award-nominated performance playing King Henry V just one year ago. Since then he has worked with The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles in The Merchant of Venice, The Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis in Henry IV and Henry V, Indiana Repertory Theatre in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Much Ado About Nothing.

OTHELLO will star Porters' Artistic Director Charles Pasternak as Iago, with resident artists Matt Calloway in the title role and Eliza Kiss as Desdemona. Associate Artistic Director Thomas Bigley returns to the director's seat for the first time since his lauded King Lear in 2013.

OTHELLO opens on Saturday, February 28th at 8pm at The Whitmore Theatre, 11006 Magnolia Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601. The production plays Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm for five weeks through Saturday, March 28th, as well as at 7pm on Sunday, March 1st, and at 2pm on Sundays, March 8th, 15th, and 22nd. Possible extension dates are 8pm shows on Friday and Saturday, April 3rd and 4th. The production will run approximately two hours with one intermission.

Tickets are $20 online; $25 at the door. All major credit cards accepted at the door.
