NewFilmmakers is a unique Screening Series that gives new filmmakers the opportunity to screen their films in New York, Los Angeles, and Online. Tonight, July 16th, NewFilmmakers presents a night of Science Fiction with two Short Film Programs and the new feature INVERSE.

6:00 PM First Short Film Program

Mikhail Torich NOTHING (2013, 9 minutes)

Suffering from a severe headache, John passes out in a hotel room. He wakes up in an indefinite white space with an infinite amount of possibilities. This appears to be just the beginning of a twisted game.

Raymond Wei FUTUREPROOF (2013, 13 minutes)

A mad physicist, Isaac, travels back in time in a desperate attempt to stop the double murder of his parents only to discover that the true circumstances of that night were much larger than he ever imagined.

A teenage girl gets in the middle conflicts with her ex-boyfriend and her new interest. Her ex is a leader of a group of delinquents and her interest has a sickness that he has trouble revealing, which is the ability to resurrect from the dead.

Mike Fink PARALARVA (2013, 30 minutes)

Laura Bishop is a 17-year-old high school senior and the suburbs are her oyster. She should be having the time of her life. Except her best friend killed himself, her parents are getting divorced, and all the boys she knows want to f**k her.
