Maelstrom Productions Presents World Premiere Comedy SNOWED INN

Maelstrom Productions proudly presents the World Premiere Comedy SNOWED INN written and directed by David Ewing at the historic El Portal Mainstage Theatre, in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA. This special holiday engagement will be presented December 9 through 18, 2016. Eight performances only!

SNOWED INN is a modern day farce that takes place in the snowy mountains of Colorado. As innkeepers prepare and guests arrive during a winter storm, what could have been a normal weekend for everyone quickly descends into chaos. Trapped inside, cabin fever soon takes hold and the regularity of a normal, relaxing vacation is tossed aside for nonsensical buffoonery and outlandishly foolish situations.

SNOWED INN is the journey of eight people finding ways to ignite or rekindle passion in their lives and the hotel lobby plays home to all their misguided, albeit hilarious, antics and shenanigans. The real world, sealed away behind deep drifts of snow, is forgotten. The insane becomes probable and the farcical becomes commonplace. Liberated from any exterior judgment, the four couples are free to engage in rampant horseplay and hijinks; hijinks that will change the course of their entire lives from curtains up to curtains down.

Maelstrom Productions is happy to feature a cast of eight local Los Angeles actors. The cast includes: Courtney Dietler as Bianca, Bryan Forrest as Will, Matthew Horn as George, Jackson Kendall as Jake, Raleigh Lench as Sarah, Deborah Moran as Rose, Michael Murphy as Mike, and Kelsey Walmer as Chantal) and Kim Iosue (Stage Manager).

Writer/Director David Ewing is a seasoned production professional and is exceedingly excited to produce the debut of SNOWED INN, a project nine years in the making. He founded the Maelstrom Team, which includes producers Lennon Hobson & Bryan Forrest. They look forward to organizing and orchestrating events, talent, and story-telling to inspire audiences and cultivate the growth and craft of new performers of the arts.

El Portal Theatre is a historic landmark in the San Fernando Valley located in the heart of North Hollywood just minutes from Universal Studios, Warner Brothers, Disney, ABC, CBS-Radford and NBC Burbank. The theatre, originally built as a vaudeville house in 1926, sits across Lankershim Blvd from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Art Institute of California-Hollywood.
