Moonlight Stage Productions' 34th summer season returns to the stage bigger and better than ever, with two professional regional premieres and a selection of musicals that promise fun, enjoyment, and laughs for the whole family.

The season opens on June 11, 2014, with the classic MY FAIR LADY, and the return to Moonlight Amphitheatre of beloved founding artistic director Kathy Brombacher--not in her former role as director, but on stage for the first time in 16 years, as Mrs. Higgins.

"I have found that the recipe of a classic show, family show, contemporary show, and artistic show have been good ingredients to provide a season where there is something for everyone," said Artistic Director Steven Glaudini. "Next summer features two Southern California Premieres, plus two shows that will provide big entertainment. Joining the already announced Disney's MARY POPPINS will be the 2014 season opener, Lerner and Loewe's MY FAIR LADY. With the centennial of PYGMALION this year, it seemed appropriate to do a large-scale version of this beloved classic. The exciting news is that after a 16-year hiatus from the stage, Moonlight Stage Productions founder Kathy Brombacher will grace the stage as Mrs. Higgins.

"Next up will be the hystericAl Monty Python's SPAMALOT, featuring the Broadway sets and costumes. This musical 'lovingly ripped off from the classic film Monty Python and the Holy Grail' provides an evening of laughs that you are not soon to forget! Closing our season is the Southern California premiere of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, a new musical based on the great Dreamworks film of the same name. Following the true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr., this musical features a score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (HAIRSPRAY and SMASH) and a book by Terrence McNally (RAGTIME)."

My Fair Lady performances are June 11-June 28, 2014; followed by the Southern California regional premiere of Mary Poppins, July 16-August 2; Monty Python's Spamalot, August 13-August 30; and the Southern California regional premiere ofCatch Me If You Can, closing the season September 10-September 27.

Subscription and single ticket information will be announced later this year. Subscription and single tickets will go on sale Spring 2014.

Moonlight Stage Productions is the cultural arts program of the City of Vista and is partially funded by its non-profit fund-raising arm, the Moonlight Cultural Foundation. Under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Steven Glaudini and Managing Director Daniel Kays, Moonlight is an award-winning theatre company receiving accolades from the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle and the Patte Awards for Theater Excellence among others. In addition to its popular Summer Season outdoors at the 2000-person capacity Moonlight Amphitheatre, the company moves indoor each winter to present a three-show season of intimate plays and musicals at the 300-seat AVO Playhouse located in the Vista Village.
