Lifetime Announces October Premiere Dates for New Original Movies

Lifetime continues to bring big names and acclaimed talent to the small screen with six all-new original movies set to make their world premieres this October. Kicking off Sunday, October 2, John Corbett and Sara Canning star in The Hunt for the I-5 Killer, followed by Girl Fight, starring Anne Heche and James Tupper, on October 3. As Halloween approaches, Lifetime ups the suspense factor with We Have Your Husband, premiering on October 17 and starring Teri Polo and Esai Morales; Possessing Piper Rose on October 24 with Rebecca Romijn; and Iris Johansen's The Killing Game, featuring Laura Prepon and Naomi Judd, on October 31.

Lifetime's October tent-pole original movie, Five, the eagerly-awaited movie directed by Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, Alicia Keys, Penelope Spheeris and Patty Jenkins, and featuring an all-star ensemble cast, will debut on October 10 at 9:00pm ET/PT. A bold anthology of five short films exploring the impact of breast cancer on people's lives, Five uses humor and drama to focus on the effect breast cancer and its different stages of diagnosis have on relationships and the way women perceive themselves while searching for strength, comfort, medical breakthroughs and, ultimately, a cure. Five's cast includes Academy Award(R) nominee Patricia Clarkson (Pieces of April), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Lyndsy Fonseca (How I Met Your Mother), Ginnifer Goodwin (Big Love), Josh Holloway (Lost), Taylor Kinney (The Vampire Diaries), Jenifer Lewis (The Princess and the Frog), Jennifer Morrison (House M.D.), Kathy Najimy (WALL-E), Golden Globe(R) Award winner Bob Newhart (Horrible Bosses), Annie Potts (Law & Order: SVU), Tracee Ellis Ross (Girlfriends), Emmy(R) and Golden Globe winner Tony Shalhoub (Monk), and Emmy nominees Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development) and Jeanne Tripplehorn (Big Love).

THE HUNT FOR THE I-5 KILLER premieres Sunday, October 2, 8:00pm ET/PT

Based on author Ann Rule's book and starring John Corbett (United States of Tara) and Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries), The Hunt for the 1-5 Killer recounts the haunting tale of the year-long manhunt for the killer who in 1981 brutally raped and murdered 44 victims throughout the I-5 corridor in California.

GIRL FIGHT premieres Monday, October 3, 9:00pm ET/PT

Inspired by a true story and starring Anne Heche (Hung) and James Tupper (Grey's Anatomy), Girl Fight is the harrowing story of a 16-year-old, stellar high school student whose life spirals downward when a shocking video of her getting beat up by her former friends surfaces on the Internet.

WE HAVE YOUR HUSBAND premieres Monday, October 17, 9:00pm ET/PT

American Jayne Valseca (Teri Polo, Meet the Parents, Man Up), her husband Eduardo (Esai Morales, NYPD Blue) and their two children live an idyllic life on their 1,000 acre ranch outside of a peaceful Mexico town. But one morning Eduardo is kidnapped and Jayne is left behind to pick up the pieces, throwing her into a living nightmare in which she is pushed to the limit to do everything she possibly can to raise the ransom money necessary to bring Eduardo back alive. Based on a true story from the book We Have Your Husband: One Woman's Terrifying Story of a Kidnapping in Mexico, the movie also stars Olivia d'Abo (Law & Order: Criminal Intent).

POSSESSING PIPER ROSE premieres Monday, October 24, 9:00pm ET/PT

The story of a couple (Rebecca Romijn, X-Men, Ugly Betty and David Cubitt, Medium, Lifetime's Bond of Silence) so desperate to adopt a child they might even bend the rules to get one. But when the three-year old little girl of their dreams arrives, strange, inexplicable events begin to happen that threaten the couple's lives.

IRIS JOHANSEN'S THE KILLING GAME premieres Monday, October 31, 9:00pm ET/PT

Based on the bestselling crime novel, Iris Johansen's The Killing Game follows forensic sculptor Eve Duncan (Laura Prepon, How I Met Your Mother), who 10 years after the disappearance and murder of her seven year old daughter, is contacted by a man claiming to be the child's killer. Taunted by the man's mysterious clues about the case and his threats to kill again, precious memories of her daughter haunt Eve once more. Caught in a web of deceit, she gambles with her own life as she throws herself into her work to finally close the case and bring her daughter's murderer to justice. Iris Johansen's The Killing Game also stars Naomi Judd (Frasier).
