Southern California's Musical Theatre University hosts the most intensive summer musical theatre experience in the nation for young "Broadway Bound" performers, ages 14-20 - THE NATIONAL BROADWAY BOOT CAMP - which runs from August 1-13 in Orange County.

Thirty six talented performers, selected by audition, spend two weeks in intensive weeks in Master Classes and Rehearsals with Broadway professionals culminating in the staged reading of two musical productions - this season, BARE and SPRING AWAKENING. "The Boot Camp is designed to strengthen the craft of the young performer in a "real world" rehearsal environment and give them the tools they need to build and sustain a career in musical theatre" says David Green, founder and President of MTU and the Boot Camp. Mr. Green's alumni include Tony and Emmy Nominated Matthew Morrison (The Light In The Piazza and GLEE), Stephanie Block (9 to 5, The Pirate Queen, Wicked), Krysta Rodriguez (The Addams Family, In The Heights, A Chorus Line), Lindsay Mendez (Everyday Rapture, Grease), Scott Barnhardt (The Book Of Mormon, Big River), Anneliese vanDerPol (Vanities, Beauty And the Beast), and more.

Broadway Master Teachers will include Tony-Nominated Jonelle Allen (Two Gentlemen Of Verona), James Snyder (Cry Baby), David Burnham ( Wicked, The Light In The Piazza), Lindsay Mendez, Krysta Rodriguez, Jeff Marx (Avenue Q) and composer Ryan Scott Oliver, among others.

There are a limited number of spaces still available. For further information and applications visit www.musicaltheatreuniversity.com or call MTU at 949-342-5381. All participants are selected by audition, Host families are provided for participants from outside of Southern California.
