Ripped from the pages of real life, Mortified Live is a show where adults share their most embarrassing childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork...in front of total strangers. Seattle based Playwright and Entertainer Kimball Allen shares the stage with other Mortified storytellers as he shares colorful journal entries chronicling his upbringing as a fabulous black sheep.

Equal parts comedy, theater, and therapy, Mortified has been hailed "a cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek and featured on This American Life, NBC's Today Show, Entertainment Weekly, Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe and Talk of the Nation. The project operates grassroots chapters in 10 cities (from DC to LA to Malmo, Sweden) as well as produces books, film and TV projects. Mortified LA chapter also features music from The Mortified After School Orchestra!

Kimball Allen is a Best-selling Off-Broadway playwright. He is the Host of Triple Threat, a variety talk show, at the illustrious Triple Door in downtown Seattle. Allen has been heard as a featured guest on radio and podcast shows from New York City to Honolulu, and filmed with such networks as Comedy Central and Amazon Studios. He has written for several syndicated publications. He is a member of the prestigious Dramatist Guild of America; a Nominator for The Gregory Awards presented by Theatre Puget Sound.

Mortified Live: LA runs Wednesday May 20, 8:00pm at King King, 6555 Hollywood Blvd., 90028, Los Angeles, CA. For show info visit getmortified.com and for tickets purchase at the door day of show.
