What would you do if you could do it all over? Invention Theatre Group explores this question in the world premiere of Eventide, a dramedy about the final days of an elderly couple and their last-minute efforts to recapture their youth playing tonight through October 30 at the new J.E.T. Studios in the NoHo Arts District.

Elderly couple Audrey and Lou Bronson are nearing the last days of their lives in this play about what makes love strengthen and endure. Audrey, a former actress, has decided to re-stage her first gala wedding by replacing her long gone first husband with her faithful current husband Lou. Their loyal nephew Stanley and the day care helper Gloria are the accomplices in this zany project to go back in time and get it right. They plan to re-stage the wedding outdoors, with preacher, flowers, audience and loudspeakers to broadcast it to the neighborhood. This comedy-drama is a poignant look at marriage that has weathered all the storms, and is still sailing strong.

"EVENTIDE is a timely play because we are seeing a growing number of 'baby-boomers' who are saying 'Good-bye' to their parents and relatives," says writer/director Bill Ferber. "The play is actually an uplifting and gentle look at letting go. Who wouldn't want to change the past and make things the way they should have been?!"

This four-person play features seasoned actors, with three out of the four over the age of 50. Dominick Morra (Lou Bronson), Bette Smith (Audrey Bronson), Randi Tahara (Gloria) and Michael Carter (Stanley).

EVENTIDE will be the first full production at J.E.T. Studios, the brand new theatre complex in the NoHo Arts District. This polished facility, consists of three studios, a TV/camera room and a 60-seat theater that will provide professional soundproof space for theatrical productions, film screenings, rehearsals, acting classes and film/video shoots.
