GLEE's Brad Ellis to Host AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY at Upstairs at Vitellos, 8/25

Following spectacular performances at Upstairs at Vitello's , The Catalina Jazz Club and the El Caballero Country Club, Fraser Entertainment Group is back at Vitello's for a third round, welcoming a whole new cast of singers from Broadway, television and film for AN EVENING OF CLASSIC BROADWAY. With musical direction by Glee's Brad Ellis on Monday August 25th, 2014 at Upstairs at Vitello's (4349 Tujunga Avenue) in Studio City, the evening will feature songs from classic Broadway shows - CHICAGO, INTO THE WOODS, FOLLIES, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES and more. Scheduled to perform are Eydie Alyson (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, LES MISERABLES, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY), Damon Kirsche (MARY POPPINS, SPAMALOT, 42nd ST), Jennifer "JFO" Foster (HAIR at the Hollywood Bowl, GLEE, HAIRSPRAY), Jennifer Malenke (TV's THE VOICE & HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, INTO THE WOODS, CATS), Todd Sherry (PARKS & RECREATION, THE MILLERS, UP WITH A TWIST), Broadway World Nominee Pat Whiteman (PUMP BOYS & DINETTES, SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN), Paul Wong (PACIFIC OVERTURES, A FUNNY THING...,SWEENEY TODD), with more to be announced shortly. The evening will also be hosted by Ellis.

An Evening of Classic Broadway marks Fraser Entertainment Group's third return to Upstairs at Vitello's. Other shows produced by Fraser Entertainment Group include Starr Quality, Actors Fund Benefit and Tribute to Rick Starr and Gifts of Love: the Words and Music of Stephen Schwartz, both at the Catalina Jazz Club.

BRAD ELLIS, Host and Musical Director

Long regarded as one of the most respected and sought after composers, arrangers, and musical directors in the Broadway community, Brad Ellis is currently enjoying a newfound fame as the on-camera pianist on the hit television series Glee. Lately, he has been traveling the world as Musical Director for Matthew Morrison's solo show.

In addition to his continuing role on Glee, Mr. Ellis can be seen coaching in the "Special Features" of the DVD Release of Disney's animated Beauty and the Beast. Long before Glee, Mr. Ellis was renowned for his clever and instantly recognizable arrangements for such shows as Forbidden Broadway, Forbidden Hollywood, Whoop-Dee-Doo, and the Christmas edition of Forever Plaid known as Plaid Tidings. He has arranged and orchestrated for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Philadelphia Symphony and the CD "Unexpected Dreams - Songs from The Stars" featuring members of the LA Phil to benefit Music Cares which supports music programs in the LA schools. In concert, and on CD, Mr. Ellis has worked with Billy Joel, Angela Lansbury, Kristin Chenoweth, Scarlett Johansson, Patti LuPone, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Ariana Grande, and Jeremy Irons to name but a few.
