The Fred Kavli Theatre is set to welcome the French bourgeois, presenting the national tour of LES MISERABLES for a week-long engagement from September 4th through the 9th.

LES MISERABLES has been seen by over 53 million people in 38 countries and in 21 languages since its first London performance in October 1985. The original Broadway production opened on March 12, 1987, at the Broadway Theatre, winning seven Tony Awards that season, including Best Musical. The show went on to play a total of 6,680 performances. It has spurred a revival, and most recently, will be making its big screen debut in November under the the helm of Tom Hooper. The film will star Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russel Crowe as Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Fantine.

Based on Victor Hugo's epic novel, relentless policeman Javert pursues escaped convict Jean Valjean over decades through the tumult of revolutionary France. The acclaimed score includes 'Who Am I?', 'A Little Fall of Rain', 'One Day More', 'Bring Him Home' and 'I Dreamed a Dream'

The national tour of LES MISERABLES currently stars J. Mark McVey (Valjean), Andrew Varela (Javert), Betsy Morgan (Fantine), Chasten Harmon (Eponine), and more, including Julie Benko, Max Quinlan, Richard Vida, Shawna M. Hamic, and Jeremy Hays.
