Form Theatricals and Celebration Theatre to Present BRIGHT COLORS AND BOLD PATTERNS

After sold out runs across the country, Drew Droege (Drunk History, Bob's Burgers, and the internet's "Chloe") returns to Los Angeles due to demand, high on the heels of a run in New York at the Barrow Street Theater, with Bright Colors And Bold Patterns at the Celebration Theatre (6760 Lexington Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038) from September 26 through November 14, every Monday at 8pm.

Written and performed by Drew Droege and Directed by Michael Urie, Bright Colors And Bold Patterns is a riotous new solo play that storms the stage with ferocity and wit, called a "sidesplitting rant on gay marriage" and "hilariously expressive minimalist perfection" by critics (Annenberg Digital News, Stage Happenings LA) from its previous Los Angeles engagement originally directed by Molly Prather with The Solo Collective at VS Theatre.

Josh and Brennan are about to get married in Palm Springs on a lovely Saturday afternoon. However, the night before becomes a drunken, drug-fueled scream riot, because their friend Gerry has arrived, furious that their invitation says "please refrain from wearing bright colors or bold patterns". In the struggle for equality, what do we really want? What do we lose? And is there any cocaine left?

Drew Droege is best known for his online parody videos of downtown indie it girl darling Chloe Sevigny, featured in The Advocate, Entertainment Weekly, Huffington Post, named one of the Best Web Series Of All Time by TimeOut New York, and most recently featured in Marc Jacobs' 2016 Spring campaign. He's a regular on the Logo series "Cocktails & Classics" and has appeared on "Transparent," "Bob's Burgers," "Drunk History," "2 Broke Girls," "House Of Lies," "Kroll Show," "Key & Peele," "MTV's Acting Out," "New Girl," "Happy Endings," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Baby Daddy." He can be seen in upcoming films "Ideal Home," "The 4th," "The Circle," "Open," as well as last year's "Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse," "You're Killing Me," and "Eating Out: Drama Camp." He is an alum of The Groundlings and Upright Citizens Brigade theaters in Los Angeles, where he performs regularly. Michael Urie For originating the role of Alex More in Jonathan Tolins' Buyer & Cellar Off-Broadway, on tour, and in London, Urie received the Drama Desk Award, Clarence Derwent Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, LA Drama Critics Award, and nominations for the Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Michael recently reprised Buyer & Cellar at Westport Country Playhouse where WNET recorded it and will air it on PBS as part of their Theatre CloseUp series in the fall of 2016.
