British playwright Joe Orton's classic dark comedy ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE, hits Los Angeles this June for a four week run at the Actors Company theater. The play, which originally debuted in London in 1964, tells a sexy, suspenseful, and often humorous story that continues to captivate and surprise audiences today. Director Stan Zimmerman leads an ensemble cast which includes: Ian Buchanan (The Bold and the Beautiful), Olivia d'Abo (THE WONDER YEARS), Emrhys Cooper (We Will Rock You) and Robin Gammell (NIP/TUCK).

The play keeps audiences on The Edge of their seats, as the plot unfolds, revealing the tangled and twisted misadventures of a landlady, her brother, and a handsome, young psychopathic tenant. Murder, homosexuality, nymphomania, and sadism are among the themes of this black comedy focusing on a brother and sister who become involved with a young, sexy, amoral drifter with a mysterious past.

ENTERTAINING MR. SLOANE takes the stage beginning Wednesday, June 22th until Sunday July 24th, at the Actors Company theater. 916a. N. Formosa Ave., West Hollywood, CA 90046. The show will run Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8pm, and Sundays at 6:30pm.

STAN ZIMMERMAN (DIRECTOR) - Stan is a writer, producer, and director. With his writing partner James Berg, Stan worked on such classic series as The Golden Girls and Roseanne (penning the infamous ‘lesbian kiss' episode), both of which received WGA Award nominations for Best Comedy  Writing. Other television writing credits include Gilmore Girls, the Lifetime sitcom Rita Rocks (which they also created and executive produced), and both Brady Bunch movies. On his own, Stan his written for Emmy Magazine and starred in Situation: Comedy, a Bravo series produced by Sean Hayes. He made his stage directing debut with the 30th anniversary revival of Gemini at Celebration Theatre, followed by A Tuna Christmas at Theatre Asylum, Spike Heels at Actor's Circle Theater and the one man show BLINK & You Might Miss Me at Asylum Lab.
IAN BUCHANAN (ED) - Award winning actor Ian Buchanan has appeared in motion pictures, guest starred on television dramas and comedies, and played iconic roles on a host of daytime dramas that have brought him a worldwide audience. He has starred in both classic and modern plays in England and the US. He is currently a member of The Citizen's Band, an avant-garde cabaret collective of international performance artists, reminiscent of the Weimar Era, whose acclaimed theatrical presentations deal with current and controversial political, religious and social themes.
Buchanan is most familiar to audiences worldwide for his starring roles on The Bold and The Beautiful, for which he received an Emmy Award, General Hospital, All My Children, and Port Charles. He's a cult favorite for role in David Lynch's Twin Peaks. Television guest starring roles include Nip/Tuck, Alias, Hope and Faith, Charmed, Yes, Dear, On The Air, Quantum Leap, It's The Gary Shandling Show, Stargate and Nash Bridges. Film roles include memorable appearances in Mate, Panic Room, Lying in Wait, Double Exposure, The Cool Surface, and The Seventh Sign.
Born in Scotland, Buchanan resides in Southern California.
EMRHYS COOPER (SLOANE) - British born Emrhys Cooper graduated from Laine Theater Arts College in London. Immediately after his graduation Emrhys made his debut in London's West End in the Queen musical, We Will Rock You. This was by followed the National Tour of Fame: The Musical. Orlando in As You Like It with the Red Earth Theater Company.
Films include the acclaimed Bright Young Things, directed by the award winning Stephen Fry. Mamma Mia and Natasha. Television UK soap-opera Coronation Street, I'd Do Anything' (BBC1), and 999 Lifesavers (BBC). CSI: NY (CBS)
Emrhys also has three upcoming feature films-the romantic comedy Walk a Mile in My Pradas, co-Starring Tom Arnold, I Want to Get Married, and Silver Case (Satyicon Pictures) which are due for release later this year.
Olivia d'Abo (KATH) - Olivia is probably most widely known for her role as the "older sister" Karen Arnold in the Emmy Award winning television show The Wonder Years. Other notable recurring television credits include, The Single Guy with Jonathan Silverman, Fox's Party of Five, Spin City, and as the fiancée to Michael J. Fox. d'Abo has gotten rave reviews in the recurring role of the controversial and villainous, Nicole Wallace on Law and Order: Criminal Intent.
She is also known for her work in film, including Live Nude Girls, Kicking and Screaming, Wayne's World 2, with Dana Carvey and Mike Meyers and Greedy with Michael J. Fox and Kirk Douglas.
Her theater credits include Scenes from an Execution at the Mark Taper Forum with Frank Langella and Juliet Stevenson, the Los Angeles Theatre's critically acclaimed musical, It's a Girl and she just finished playing Roxane in the Ruskin Theater Company production of Cyrano de Bergerac. She made her Broadway debut playing Gwendolyn Pigeon in New York in the sold out run of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple with Mathew Broderick and Nathan Lane. She also appeared in the West Coast version with Jason Alexander and Martin Short.
d' Abo voices the character of Luminara Unduli in the animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars created by George Lucas. Other voice-over work include the animated film, Green Lantern: First Flight opposite Christopher Meloni and Victor Garber, and as Jane in Disney's animated series Tarzan.
Olivia has recently released her debut album , NOT TV consisting of 10 narrative songs and has just released her much anticipated duet with Seal of a song she wrote called "Broken".
Robin Gammell (KEMP) - At the Rubicon Theatre Ventura appeared in You Can't Take It With You, Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance and Waiting for Godot.? Robin Gammell's extensive theatre credits include Cinders, Hamlet and The Tempest at the New York Shakespeare Festival; Hedda Gabbler and An Enemy of the People at The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C.; Temptation, Largo Desolato, Chekhov in Yalta and Twelfth Night at the Mark Taper Forum/Center Theatre Group; The Homecoming, Tango, House of Atreus and the title role of Arturo Ui at The Guthrie Theatre; Arturo Ui and House of Atreus in the Broadway and Los Angeles Guthrie Tour; Title roles in Richard III and Arturo Ui, The Soldier's Tale at the Long Wharf Theatre; School for Scandal, Cymbeline, The Italian Straw Hat, King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Stratford Festival in Canada; Title role in Peer Gynt at The Sheffield Playhouse; and the title role in Julius Caesar at The Old Globe. Robin was a founder of the Matrix Theatre Company in L.A., where he appeared in Endgame, Waiting for Godot and The Tavern. He is also a founding member of ACT, where his credits include Six Characters in Search of an Author, King Lear, The Devil's Disciple, Beyond the Fringe and Samuel Beckett's Endgame. Internationally, Robin appeared in Alma with Teatro Aldui in Venice, Italy.
On film, Robin will appear in the soon to be released Skyline. Other film credits include Dave, Guilty by Suspicion, Bulworth, Austin Powers, Sister Act II, Contact, If These Could Talk and Star Chamber, among others. His television credits include Saving Grace, Nip/Tuck, Providence, Judging Amy, The Practice, If These Walls Could Talk, WIOU ,The Commish, Party of Five, Star Trek and Raid on Entebbe.
