Dick Van Dyke Performs One Night Only Concert At Geffen Playhouse 8/14

Entertainment legend Dick Van Dyke will bring his twinkling eyes and contagious energy to the Geffen Playhouse for a one-night only concert to benefit the theater's education programs and the non-profit Determined to Succeed.

Joined by his musical quartet, the Vantastix, Mr. Van Dyke will lead the audience in a boisterous evening, bringing to life classic favorites from hits such as Mary Poppins, Bye, Bye, Birdie, Chitty ChittyBang Bang and The Music Man. The concert, which will take place on August 14 at 8pm, will be followed by a fun-filled dessert reception featuring nostalgic sweets and champagne.

Tickets are available through the Geffen Playhouse box office at 310-208-5454 and are $100 for mezzanine seats, $125 for orchestra seats and $150 for VIP house seats. In addition to raising funds, the evening will also honor Mr. Van Dyke's commitment to the Geffen Playhouse's outreach programs.

To honor his longtime support of the theater, the Geffen Playhouse will name a dressing roomin honor of the celebrated entertainer. During the program that evening, Geffen Playhouse producing director Gil Cates will present Mr. Van Dyke with a special plaque to commemorate the tribute.
