Cheryl Burke, two-time Dancing with the Stars champion, will star in the internationally celebrated dance spectacular Luis Bravo's Forever Tango at the Saban Theatre, Beverly Hills (formerly The Wilshire Theatre) for a limited four performance engagement Friday, January 14, 2011 through Sunday, January 16, 2011. Forever Tango appeared on Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, October 12, 2010.

Tickets from $30 - $100 are available beginning Friday, October 15, 2010 by calling Ticketmaster Phone Charge at (800) 982-2787, online at www.ticketmaster.com <http://www.ticketmaster.com> , and at all Ticketmaster outlets.

Created and directed by Luis Bravo, Forever Tango features a world-renowned cast of dancers and musicians who bring an intoxicating sense of excitement and passion to the stage. Through music, dance and vignettes, the production traces the tango's colorful history, from its beginnings in turn-of-the-century Buenos Aires bordellos to its acceptance into high society. Sensuous and sophisticated, the tango inhabits a world where everything can be said with the flick of a leg, the tug of a hand, the tap of a foot and the arch of an eyebrow.

The original production took San Francisco by storm in 1994 where it played an unprecedented 92 weeks. In June of 1997, Forever Tango opened on Broadway where it played for 14 months and earned rave reviews from critics. The show garnered multiple Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations, and became the longest-running tango show in Broadway history - an honor it still holds today! Forever Tango has since toured major cities through the United States, Europe and Asia. The show's last visit to Los Angeles was in 2007.

Forever Tango's cast includes 14 world-class dancers, a vocalist and an 11-piece, on-stage orchestra, anchored by the bandoneón, the accordion-like instrument that is the mainstay of tango music. The Forever Tango orchestra boasts four of only 200 bandoneón players known worldwide. The dances, performed to original and traditional music, are the result of collaboration between each couple and director/creator Bravo.

About Cheryl Burke

With over 18 years dancing experience and several championship titles under her belt, professional dancer Cheryl Burke, has tangoed and sambaed her way into the hearts of millions through the hit ABC television show Dancing with the Stars and recently became the show's only professional dancer to appear in the finals four times, becoming champion twice with Emmitt Smith in Season 3 and Drew Lachey in Season 2.

Bay area native, Cheryl first began dancing at the age of four, taking ballet lessons and performing throughout the Bay Area. At 10, she discovered what would be her winning talent, ballroom dancing, and decided to hang up her ballet shoes to begin training in both Standard and Latin ballroom dancing. By the age of 13, Cheryl was traveling and competing throughout the world, later moving on to win several championships including 2005 Ohio Star Ball Rising Star Champion, 2005 San Francisco Open Latin Champion, 2005 World Cup Professional Rising Star Latin Champion, several UK Championships, and a fourth place showing in the U.S. "Under 21's" division.

Now at age 26, she has used her appearance on Dancing with the Stars as a stepping-stone to propel her career into different avenues. In the spring of 2008 Cheryl opened her first dance studio, the highly successful Cheryl Burke Dance, which now has locations in Silicon Valley and Orange County respectively.

Initially, Cheryl was scouted by ABC reps at a dance competition and was recruited to be the professional dance partner for dancing novice Drew Lachey. Now countless doors have opened for her with guest performer public appearances, talk show appearance, and several exclusive Hollywood events. She has even dabbled with acting playing the role of a bespectacled awkward and shy nurse who blossoms into a ballroom sensation, on the Disney show, Suite Life with Zack and Cody.

For Cheryl, dancing is a way of life. It provides a medium for her to express her inner feelings and passions all while maintaining focus and composure during extremely high-pressure situations. It is dancing that has made her such a competitor, both on and off the floor, and made her strive for perfection in anything that she sets out to do.
