Celebration Theatre announced today changes to their management team. Effective immediately, the Artistic Director position will be shared by the Ovation award-winning duo of Michael Matthews and Michael A. Shepperd. Both Matthews and Shepperd are former Artistic Directors of Celebration Theatre and are excited to be back to guide the theatre into it's thirty-first season and beyond.

John Michael Beck who served as Artistic Director from July 1, 2011 to December 31, 2012 will remain with the institution as a board member. He will also remain responsible for the CT Tuesdays program he created. This program is designed to get new works up on their feet in the hopes of becoming a full production at Celebration Theatre. The first success with this program was The Next Fairy Tale which premiered in 2011. This season brings Revolver to the stage in late spring.

Additionally, Michael O'Hara will be promoted to Managing Director of the theatre and is responsible for its daily operations including overseeing the individual productions. O'Hara has been a volunteer at Celebration for over 10 years and during that time has shown great leadership in the many different areas he has overseen. His knowledge, love for the theatre and organizational skills makes him an ideal choice for the position.

Comments Celebration Theatre's Executive Director Michael C. Kricfalusi, "These changes are going to ensure the high quality of work that has become the trademark of Celebration Theatre as we move into the thirty-first season and beyond. I am thrilled to have Michael Matthews and Michael Shepperd back and cannot thank John Michael Beck enough for his service."

The next production on stage is the Rolling World Premiere of Steve Yockey's latest play, WOLVES. The show will premiere on Friday, March 8, 2013.
