The Actors Fund has had an array of stories of child performers having such a difficult time in the industry, that they felt the need to take an active step to show what the entertainment industry can do to insure against such experiences.

The Actors Fund 'Looking Ahead' program is proud to present Pic @ Nick on Saturday, April 9th at Nickelodeon Animation Studios.

A FREE fun event for Professional Young Performers to meet each other and hear about all the great things available through Looking Ahead at The Actors Fund!

WHAT: The Actors Fund Looking Ahead Program for young performers offers a spring picnic bash hosted at Nickelodeon's Animation Studio in Burbank for professional young performers. Join us as Looking Ahead chair, Fred Savage from The Wonder Years, moderates a panel of former young celebrities including Jaleel White, Steve Urkel in Family Matters and Phill Lewis from The Suite Life and others TBA as they share their experiences of the up and downs of growing up in the industry. Bring the family for a fun day of carnival activities and build friendships with other professional young artists just like you!

Pic @ Nick, a picnic bash is sponsored by Nickelodeon, Corner Bakery, Variety, SAG, Believe In Dreams Foundation and Coca-Cola. The free picnic includes food, music with DJ Boogie, games, activities, Nickelodeon animation artists, raffles and a panel discussion with former young performers.

Looking Ahead is a comprehensive career, education and counseling program designed by The Actors Fund in cooperation with SAG and AFTRA to help young performers and their families address the issues related to working in the entertainment industry. The program supports young performers, between the ages of 9 -18, in developing the values, skills, and confidence they need to make successful transitions to fulfilling adult lives.

We support and applaud the Looking Ahead Program at The Actors Fund for its commitment to young actors and the assistance they provide in helping pave the way to long and successful careers," said Sharon Lieblein, Vice President, Nickelodeon Talent and Casting and Vice Chair of Looking Ahead's Advisory Committee.

Pic@Nick will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 12:00 to 3:00 at The Nickelodeon Animation Studios, 231 West Olive Avenue in Burbank. The picnic is free for professional young performers, ages 9-18 and their parents. Space is limited, please register through LookingAheadProgram.org.
